Self Catering Holiday Tips
Self Catering Holiday Tips
- Don’t arrive early. If possible arrange your time of arrival
when you book. If this isnt possible let the self catering establishment
know as soon as possible.
- Plan to arrive before its dark. Many places may not have street lighting!
Maybe take a torch just in case.
- Arrange for holiday insurrance. Ones with booking cancelation covered
are best as often deposts cannot be refunded at short notice.
- Inform owners or agents if something is bothering you. Almost always
problems are easily sorted out as they are as keen for you to enjoy your
holiday as you are.
- Check that your animal is welcome. Pets welcome might not scretch to
your python!
- Asked about reception. If you really cant leave your phone behind it’s
a good idea to check it will work. Unless, of course this is part of your
plan to escape!
- Check that if you are not suplied with towels AND linen that both are
available to hire.
- Check whether electricity is included as some self catering establishments
have meters.
- Read the visitors book at the BEGINNING of the holiday. Previous guests
have often noted gems of imfomation that you might not have found out
till your about to leave. Enjoy the hidden pub from the start!
- Leave comments in the guest book at the end of your holiday and help
vistors after you enjoy things they might otherwise have missed.
- Asked about whether short breaks are available even if it isnt advertised.
In many cases they are and sometimes even at short notice due to cancelations.
