Salcombe is a beautiful and unique place. Found at the southern-most point of Devon at the mouth of a beautiful estuary, Salcombe is home to much wildlife that you would be hard pushed to find outside the area. There is also an abundance regular shops to serve your everyday needs, in addition to those offering designer surf and sail wear. Whilst in the town, sampling of the famous Salcombe Dairy Produce is an absolute must, as is sampling of the fresh local seafood.
Special events are held in Salcombe at various times throughout the year, providing yet more reasons to visit the Salcombe area. Of these, the Gig & Rowing Regatta, Salcombe Festival, Salcombe Yacht Club Regatta, and Salcombe Town Regatta are some of the most popular.
